Glee takes on feminism!

This whole episode made me so happy, but it was really this that had me laughing and cheering out loud:

Love. Love. Love. I’m gonna use that “righteous blade of equality” line.

    Really? You liked it?
I mean, I’ll give them credit for effort and a few good points, but overall I think it was pretty superficial and half-assed. More feel-good “girl power” than actual feminism.

But then again, who am I to question Jessica Valenti on feminism? lol

Jessica, this is off topic to your blog entry, but I had to pass this on to you. I discovered this site around the same time of reading the “Purity Myth”:
    http://www.secretkeepergirl.com/Truth_or_Bare.aspx
It’s a site where mothers can help daughters be appropriate and pure. Check out this part of the site on the different “modest” tips.
